BWPPA British 9-ball Championship – Last tournament of 2017

I’m gearing up for the Predator British wheelchair 9-ball Championship, the last BWPPA tour stop of the year this weekend in Aylesbury. It feels like I’ve been non stop since the BWPPA Kamui 9-ball Shootout in September. I was on my local radio station SineFM, and I’ve been doing lots of other interesting things as well that’s for another time though!

Recently we heard the sad news that Nick Oliver had passed away after a short illness. Nick is the only person I played against competitively at 9-ball pool and snooker. Our first match being at the DSE National snooker Championship at Harrogate in 2003, and most recently at the BWPPA 9-ball Shootout at Barnsley. It will be bittersweet this weekend as we all know how much Nick loved cuesports.

My own preparation for this weekend has been good, and it’s been a good season for me, the highlights being winning the challenge event at the BWPPA Grand Prix and reaching the final of the BWPPA British 10-ball Championship.

Hopefully I can make it even better. Keep an eye on Facebook and Twitter for updates.

Keep a smooth stroke

Matt
